The symposium aims at shedding light on an important source of the governmental revenues, namely taxes. Taxes are considered the source of income upon which many economies depend, especially developed ones, at a time when some developing countries, including Iraq, are suffering from negligence of this source; a point that is negatively reflected on the contribution of taxes to the public budget.  The seminar also aims at having a comprehensive look at the taxation situation in Dohuk Governorate – the relevant problems and solutions
