This course starts with the definition of the main dramatic terms. It then deals with the historical background and characteristics of the Elizabethan theater. It also includes the performance explanation and analysis of the plays.

The objections of this course are to introduce students with the background knowledge of theater and English drama, namely Shakespearean plays and Marlow plays. Students will be able to identify the literary. social, cultural and historical significance of each period and its theater
