The course aims at providing fourth year students with Modern and World dramas. It also gives students the chance to be aware of the cultural aspects of the samples studied.
This course aims to help students improve their communication skills in English, using role-play, script-writing, and improvisation.
Language Skills: Students will listen and read for details, and improve comprehensibility in speaking and writing, for communicating to an audience in English.
Students will be able to read drama scripts in English. They will understand main ideas and details in different kinds of dramatic scripts and improve listening comprehension of different types of spoken texts – for main ideas, details and speakers’ attitudes and emotions
Students will be enabled to formulate, express and defend individual ideas and opinions in an improvisation
They will develop and use language learning strategies for all language skills.
Students will learn how to think critically in order to successfully participate in debates.
