This course consists of two parts. The subject of the first part to be introduced in the first semester is (Architecture Criticism). The main objective of this part is to provide and promote the student knowledge and understanding about the process of architectural criticism. Acquiring this knowledge is expected to support the student skill to experience a successful process of criticism to be used by himself in his own design process or when he has to comment on the architectural works of other architects.

The subject of the second part to be introduced in the second semester is (Architecture Philosophy). The main objective of this part is to provide the required knowledge about the philosophical stands and attitudes that represent the background of the architectural attitudes and positions. This will include the introduction of Semiotics/Semiology, Phenomenology and Deconstruction as the main philosophical stands that lead the architectural production and evaluation across Modern Architecture, Post-Modern and New Modern Architecture.
