About us

The Dept. of Civil Engineering was established in November 2021 which follows College of Engineering at Nawroz University. The first batch of students were accepted in the academic year 2021-2022 as a means to receive the Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.

Designing and building infrastructure for urban complexes is a primary civil engineering task. Civil engineers use their knowledge of mathematics and physical sciences to develop ways to harness natural resources and the forces of nature to protect the environment and improve human well-being. Civil engineering is a profession serving humanity as they are responsible for all civil infrastructure systems such as water supply and treatment facilities, waste handling methods, construction of roads, bridges, dams, communications services, railways and traffic regulation. The work of engineers leads to the improvement of public health and quality of life, and they have a direct impact on society and its ability to create a sustainable civilization

The period of study is 4 years and the language of instruction is English. Only graduates of the scientific branch, preparatory schools are admitted to the Dept.

  1. Preparing civil engineers with leadership potential and influence in the construction field
  2. Qualifying civil engineers with high professional ethics, professionalism and effective communication skills who work in a team spirit
  3. Preparing featured engineers locally and regionally who have the ability to design and implement engineering projects according to the latest technologies

 

Mission:

  1. Preparing engineers in the different disciplines of civil engineering and qualified researchers with a high level of knowledge and innovation in line with internationally approved standards in quality assurance and academic accreditation for engineering programs while adhering to the ethics of the engineering profession.
  2. Work on the quality of education in the industrial, residential and societal needs.
  3. Instilling the spirit of competition among students to pursue higher education, competitive exams, and various career improvement courses.
  4. Giving students the skills employers are looking for, and getting opportunities to do business with companies after graduation.
