Under the presence of Professor Dr. Omar Al-Habib, Vice President of Nawroz University for Scientific Affairs, and in coordination with Center (122) in the General Directorate of Health in Duhok Governorate, a first aid course was initiated for first-stage students across all colleges at Nawroz University.

This course was delivered using contemporary scientific methods, including a scientific discussion session for the first-stage students. The lecture emphasized the following topics:

- Introduction to first aid and its objectives.
- Focus on respiratory problems in humans.
- Identification of common bleeding cases, particularly nosebleeds.
- Recognition of wound cases.
- Handling cases of drowning in water (both for adults and children).
- Treating burn wounds.
- Addressing cases of bites and stings from dangerous and poisonous animals such as snakes and scorpions.
It is noteworthy that the first aid course, which commenced on 7/5/2023, spanned two consecutive days.
