Government accounting is a branch of accounting based on a set of principles and scientific bases for recording, tabulating and summarizing financial transactions concerning the  government activities so as to impose financial censorship and law on state revenues and expenditures, and assist in decision making. Some government institutions apply the central system in the organization of their accounts. That is to say, some of them apply the basics of government accounting and some others apply the unified accounting system in terms of the basics of government accounting by the public institutions in Kurdistan Region / Iraq
