1st International Conference on Engineering Challenges in Kurdistan Region 2018

Conference Aims and Objectives

The 1st ICECKR2018 aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on engineering aspects of research, innovation and designing. It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for engineering researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of engineering research. This will help Kurdistan Reign in following the current developments in the world and benefits from its effect on the economic, construction and industrial fields.

Conference Proceeding

All submitted conference papers will be blind peer reviewed by two competent reviewers. The post conference proceedings will be abstracted and indexed in the International Science Index. The conference abstracts and proceedings book, CD and certificate of presentation will be distributed to participants at the conference registration desk. All accepted papers will be published in Scientific Journal of Nawroz University.

Conference Accommodation

The external attendances will be accommodated at Hotel. Moreover, there will be lunch breaks during the conference period and transportation from/to the hotel.  

About Duhok

Duhok City is the centre of Duhok prefecture (governorate) one of the main cities in Kurdistan Region. It situates north Iraq, (43.20 – 44.10) longitude, (36.40 – 37.20) latitude, close to both Syrian & Turkish borders. Duhok city is on the plane ground between 2 mountain chains, Shandukha from the south and Spi from the north, while mountain Seen stands on the east. On the west side, a plane area could be seen with a tourism environment. The majority of citizens are Kurds; they live peacefully with Chaldean, Assyrian, Armenian and Yazidi minorities. Duhok city is famous for historical sites in which sculptures could be seen on the rocks.

There are tens of restaurants, hotels, motels, historic and folkloric museums, Yazidic cultural museum, playground for kids, small zoo, supermarkets; the city embraces Nawroz University and many cultural centers. There are many historical and tourist sites in Duhok prefecture.
