Under the auspices of the NZU President, Assistant Professor Dr. Ezzat Findi Yahya, the Department of Law and Politics organized a scientific symposium entitled "Drug addiction between medical treatment and legal punishment."
The event has witnessed the presence of NZU president, scientific assistant, deans of colleges, several representatives from the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, and several distinguished guests from different places.
The key speakers were Assistant Professor Dr. Dilshad Abdul-Rahman, a faculty member at the law department, Dr. Adnan Mohsin, head of the psychiatric department of Azadi Teaching Hospital, as well as captain Shivan Mahmoud from the drug combat - Duhok Police.
At the end of the symposium, the certificates of appreciation were presented to the speakers.
