Architecture is a result that records the history of a certain civilization, country or region or all together.
- Architecture is related to a function, which could be derived from socioeconomic, historic, climate, geography, geology, and religion of the region.
- Analysis and understanding the effects of those factors on the ancients architecture is essential, in order to be able to extract the useful knowledge that can be suitable to be used within similar environment in our recent designs.
- At the end of the course, the student should be able to have the essential knowledge about each civilization, its architecture characteristics, invention they have, materials been used and methods and techniques they developed. In addition the students should be able in brief to distinguish between the different orders and architecture styles and use it in the suitable location.
