Poetry.III British Romantic Poetry

Course Code C0265 Th 2 Pr 2 CrHrs 2

The course runs through winter semester and summer semester starting from 1st of September 2019 and ending around the 30thof May 2020.

This course deals with various landmark poets of the Romantic period. The course is significant as it introduces the students to the main poets of the Romatic age-British mainly-  and it familiarizes them with characteristics of the romantic poetry as well as the thematic and historical background of the selected  poems.

 

 

 The main objectives of the course is to make the students able to recognize the features of the romantic poetry and to be able to analyze the poems within their social and cultural context. Further, the course aims at exploring the literary and aesthetic qualities of the poems tackled identifying within this process the denotation and the connotation aspects of the poems
