About the Department
The Dept. of Computer Engineering and Communications was established in 2012 at the College of Computers and Information Technology. The first batch of students were admitted to the Dept. in the academic year 2012-2013. It was then transferred to the College of Engineering in 2013. The Dept. aims at enabling graduates to be applied engineers who have the ability to design, execute, maintain and operate all computer systems in addition to design and analyze communication systems which include ground stations, satellite communications, visual and optical communications). The period of study at the Dept. is 4 years and English is the language of instruction. Student graduates of the scientific branch, preparatory schools are admitted to the Dept. side by side with a limited ratio of the graduates of the Dept. of Computers, vocational studying and graduates who hold Diploma degree in communications.
