NU participated in the ninth Duhok International Film Festival with volunteer students, academic and administrative staff, held at the University of Duhok.
With the cooperation of the General Directorate of Culture and Art in Duhok, the University participated in a symposium held at the festival on 6/12/2022. Dr. Mohammedali Yaseen Taha, the Vice President of NU, presented his seminar during the symposium on forming cultural and national identity. Other participants included Dr. Lazgin Chali, Dr. Shoreshvan Adel, and the director Shinwar Kamal, under the moderation of Dr. Yaser Hassan.
The symposium covered numerous topics including politics, cinema, the relationship of language to cinema, identity, and much more.
