In an agreement between Nawroz University and the NGO Rand Institution, the NU hosted a SIYB course designed by ILO for training and developing skills in entrepreneurship and leadership in private businesses, in Arabic and for the first time in Bahdinani Kurdish. The SYIB sessions had 160 attendants and were available from the 25th till 30th, from 9:00 AM till 3:00 PM for all refugees, internally displaced people, and internal community members of the Duhok and Mosel governorates. Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, Dr Shivan Ahmad Mohammad, presented some of these sessions as one of many trainers in this course. All participants got a certificate at the end of the course. It is worth noting, all sessions were held under health and safety conditions to prevent Covid-19 spreading.
