The Implications of opening the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq

Duhok, Nawroz Universty Campus. The College of Administration and Economics organized a seminar entitled "The Implications of opening the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq.

Dr. Mahmoud Mohammed Daghir, The General Manager of the Financial Operations and Debt Administration Department at the Central Bank, presented the audience with some financial process and other responsibilities that his department is in charge of. In addition, he stressed on the importance of opening the new branch in Erbil, and how the KRI will benefit from this decision. On the other side of the symposium, Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Taha, the General Manager of the lending service in the central bank, gave a detailed explanation of the "Trillion Initiative" that support Medium and Small Enterprises (SMEs), which in turn contribute to the alleviation of unemployment in Iraq.

The President of Nawroz University, the Assistant Professor Dr. Ezzat Findi Yahya, with the members of the University Council were at the forefront of the audience. In addition to a number of Directors of Banks and Government Directorates, as well as representatives of parties and NGOs, and finally a large group of teaching staff and university students. 

At the end of the event, the Assistant Prof. Dr. Samir Fakhri Nehmeh, the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, honored the Speakers of the Central Bank by giving them Letters of appreciation, expressing the University's gratitude for their participation and their contribution in enriching the teaching environment for the Nawroz University students.
